The development of the evaluation tool of the intervention outcome of the hotline and the evaluation of the hotline outcomes

The psychological crisis hotline has become an important way in crisis intervention because of its privacy, convenience, shortcuts, availability, economy and unrestricted by geography and time. This project has compiled an evaluation tool for the intervention effect of psychological crisis hotline, and tested its reliability and validity. The evaluation tool has good reliability and validity, and can be used in the hotline. It is of great significance for promoting the development of psychological crisis hotline intervention in China, and is also beneficial to the improvement of the quality of the psychological crisis intervention hotline in China. The tool contains three evaluation indicators, namely, emotional change, crisis state and positive behavior change. Emotional change is subjective thinking that good, bad or no change. The state of crisis includes hope, pain and death. Positive behavior changes include 1)whether there are suicidal tendencies, 2)whether they have changed the way they think about the problem, 3) whether they have seen more choices, 4) whether they have made any changes that have a positive impact on their lives, 5) whether they have used other resources to help themselves, or 6) whether they will call the hotline for help when they face the difficulties, and 7) whether they have accepted the reference advice to seek help from professional institutions. These three indicators can comprehensively assess the improvement of callers after receiving the hotline consultation, so as to understand the effectiveness of the hotline consultation.
